VIRTUAL WORSHIP
As a faith community, we are called to care for the most vulnerable among us. One of the ways that we can do that in the face of Covid-19 is to practice what the medical community calls “Social Distancing.” This means avoiding large gatherings of people, especially for those who are immune compromised or particularly vulnerable. Doing so helps to “flatten the curve” of those who are experiencing illness and will allow our medical professionals to utilize their time and resources on those who truly need it.
In the mean time, this does not mean that the Church isn’t at work. No, YOU are the church and you are very much at work in the way that you care for one another, lift up each other in prayer, and trust in God’s protection during this time. We will continue to stay in communication via e-mail, social media, and phone calls.
Each week at 11 am, our church staff will host virtual worship on Facebook. This will allow us to worship together each week - to still share in communion, to still give as God gives to us, and to hear a word of hope in an ever-changing and difficult time. There will be an updated bulletin posted as a downloadable PDF on this page as well as other helpful information.
We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we discover new, creative, and flexible ways to be the Body of Christ. May God continue to bless the good people of Riverside Avenue Christian Church and may we, as a community of faith, care for the most vulnerable and beloved among us.
