As a faith community, we are called to care for the most vulnerable among us. One of the ways that we can do that in the face of Covid-19 is to practice what the medical community calls “Social Distancing.” This means avoiding large gatherings of people, especially for those who are immune compromised or particularly vulnerable. Doing so helps to “flatten the curve” of those who are experiencing illness and will allow our medical professionals to utilize their time and resources on those who truly need it.

In the mean time, this does not mean that the Church isn’t at work. No, YOU are the church and you are very much at work in the way that you care for one another, lift up each other in prayer, and trust in God’s protection during this time. We will continue to stay in communication via e-mail, social media, and phone calls.

Each week at 11 am, our church staff will host virtual worship on Facebook. This will allow us to worship together each week - to still share in communion, to still give as God gives to us, and to hear a word of hope in an ever-changing and difficult time. There will be an updated bulletin posted as a downloadable PDF on this page as well as other helpful information.

We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we discover new, creative, and flexible ways to be the Body of Christ. May God continue to bless the good people of Riverside Avenue Christian Church and may we, as a community of faith, care for the most vulnerable and beloved among us.

We will begin live-streaming our 11 am worship service on Facebook starting Sunday, March 15th.  Please note that you do not need a Facebook account to watch the Livestream. Videos will also be available on Facebook once the service has concluded.

Our weekly bulletin for livestream worship is available for download here. Bulletins will be posted prior to worship.

Just as God continues to give to us, you are invited to give back to God. Online giving is made possible through Engage and can be done here.

If you have a prayer request that you would like to share, you may submit it here. For privacy reasons, prayer requests are shared only with the Pastor and Elders unless otherwise specified.

No matter where we are, we are united through Christ's covenant at the Table. During our livestream worship, you are invited to gather whatever elements you would like so that we may share in Communion together.

The MISSION of Riverside Avenue Christian Church is to be and to share the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ, WITNESSING, LOVING, & SERVING from our doorsteps "to the ends of the Earth." (Acts 1:8)
