Weddings at Riverside

 

Riverside Avenue Christian Church rejoices with you as you anticipate and plan your wedding day and your marriage. We believe that a wedding is part of the marriage preparation ministry of the church. Becoming united in marriage is one of the deepest spiritual and sacred experiences you will ever have. 

We do not rent our building for weddings. However, Riverside does perform weddings for, and allows the use of our facilities by couples who are not participants in the life of our congregation, according to the guidelines below.

• We are happy to host weddings for couples who are not involved in any other church. Your wedding will be part of our preparation for marriage ministry, which includes marriage-preparation sessions with one of our pastors or a professional counselor. 
• We do not do weddings for couples who are participating in other congregations. We do not want to interfere with the relationship between the couple, their pastor, and their congregation.

The fee for weddings for non-members is $1,500. No weddings are confirmed without approval of one of Riverside’s pastors. Following approval of one of the pastors, a deposit of one half of the fee must be paid before the wedding is put on the church calendar.
