Children/Youth Groups and Ministries
Children and youth are a vital part of Riverside Avenue Christian Church. A full schedule of classes and activities are offered, in age-appropriate settings, to help our children and teens experience God and learn how to live out their faith. Through regular meetings, children are provided
- Bible study, in order to understand the message of Jesus,
- service opportunities, in order to live the message, and
- fellowship, in order to build relational foundations.
These learning experiences will benefit children throughout their lives.
Help a child experience God today - your life will be richer for it.
- Nursery Care – nursery and toddler care are available for children from
newborns through age 3 during the Sunday school hour and during both worship services. Paid professional nursery workers provide the security and love that are the most important first lessons to be learned by children. The nurture provided by our staff creates trust that will, in time, become trust in God.
- Sunday Education – during Sunday school, children and youth (preschool through 12th grade) learn to relate the Bible to life. Children use age appropriate activities including stories, games, and discussions. Nursery care is provided for the smallest children.

- Youth Fellowship – our youth activities are designed to foster peer relationship and learning, playing, and working together in the likeness of Jesus Christ. Bible study, service opportunities, and fellowship are provided through regular meetings. A calendar of activities is published monthly for youth in 3rd through 12th grade.
- Riverside on Wednesday (ROW) children’s activities – most Wednesday evenings, September through May, following dinner, children in grades K through 6 have a variety of crafts, games, and activities. Nursery care is also provided for children through age 4.

- Summer Camp – through our Camp and Conference Center in Silver Springs, children in grades 3 through 12 are provided the opportunity to spend a week each summer exploring their faith and their relationship to God in the world God created.

- Vacation Bible School (VBS) – one week each summer we offer children in grades K through 5 the opportunity to experience a week of bible study, games and activities to help them experience God and learn more about faith
