Our Church Leadership

The ministry and administrative life of our congregation is governed by the members of the church (we call them “lay leaders”). Five officers are elected by the congregation each year who serve on the General Board along with several ministry team leaders. Our officers for 2008 are:

• Dan Richardson, Chairperson of the Board and President of the Congregation
• Margaret Dees, Vice-chairperson
• Greg Umberger, Treasurer
• Jack Richardson, Financial Secretary
• Corinne McClure, Secretary 

The Board of Elders is responsible for nurturing the spiritual health of the congregation. They also serve as a liaison between the congregation and the pastoral staff, and they serve as “ministers” to the pastors. Our Board of Elders for 2008 include:

The Board of Deacons is responsible for assisting in the weekly service of Holy Communion, and serving in key ministry leadership roles across the life of the congregation.  Twenty-four members serve on the Board of Deacons. 

The Board of Ministers is comprised of the leaders of the programming ministries in the church.  These include Adult Education, Children’s Education, Church Growth, Community Action, Deacons, Elders, Membership, Social, Youth Fellowship, World Outreach, and Worship.  Meeting quarterly, these ministry leaders spend time helping plan for the life of the congregation and its witness in the community.
